     Hon. Edmund Bernard Carlo Howard was born on 8 September 1909.1 He was the son of Esme William Howard, 1st Baron Howard of Penrith and Lady Isabella Giovanna Teresa Gioachina Giustiniani-Bandini.1 He married Cécile Geoffroy-Dechaume, daughter of Charles Geoffroy-Dechaume, on 1 September 1936.1 He died on 4 June 2005 at age 95.2
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1934 entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1947 and 1969.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1961.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1969.1

     Robert Ian Finlayson Mathers was the son of Mayson Alexander Mathers.1 He married Cecily Ann Albinia Gibbs, daughter of Major Martin Antony Gibbs and Elsie Margaret Mary Hamilton-Dalrymple, on 24 August 1975.1 He died in 1992, killed in a traffic accident.1

     From 2001, her married name became Stuart.2
