     Jane Hay was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Lord William Hay and Margaret Hay.1 She married Archibald Murray of Murrayfield, son of Alexander Murray and Susan Douglas.1
     She was also known as Jean Hay.2 Her married name became Murray.1

     William Waring Hay-Newton was born on 20 September 1795.1 He was the son of William Hay-Newton and Alicia Foster.1 He married, firstly, Jane Frances Gregson, daughter of Thomas Gregson and Elizabeth Foster, on 19 June 1821.1 He married, secondly, Jane Clerk-Rattray, daughter of James Clerk-Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 24th of Rattray and Jane Duff, on 15 February 1844.2 He died on 15 May 1860 at age 64, without issue.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He lived at Newton, East Lothian, ScotlandG.1

     Jane Frances Gregson was the daughter of Thomas Gregson and Elizabeth Foster.1 She married William Waring Hay-Newton, son of William Hay-Newton and Alicia Foster, on 19 June 1821.1 She died on 5 July 1833, without issue.1
     Her married name became Hay-Newton.
