     Colonel Frederick Fitzgerald Carroll was born on 27 November 1874.1 He was the son of Frederick Maxwell Carroll and Mary Fitzgerald.2 He married Evelyn Bernard, daughter of Sir Edgar Bernard, on 15 June 1918.1 He died on 5 October 1932 at age 57.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 2003 with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.Ch.)1) He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, with a Bachelor of Art in Obstretics (B.A.O.)1 He was registered as a Licentiate in Midwifery (L.M.)1 He lived at Moone Abbey, County Kildare, IrelandG.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Army Medical Corps.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)1
