     Henry Bertram Roper-Caldbeck was born on 15 May 1911.1 He was the son of Major William Caldbeck Roper-Caldbeck and Alice Mary Young.2 He married Dorothy Irene Rawes, daughter of Stanley Rawes, on 28 September 1956.1 He died on 27 May 1981 at age 70.3
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of L/Bdr in the Straits Settlement Volunteer Force.1 He was in business at SingaporeG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW.1
