Prince Michael Michaelovich Cantacuzene, 2nd Count Speransky was born on 29 April 1875 at Odessa, RussiaG.1 He was the son of Prince Michael Cantacuzene, 1st Count Speransky and Elisabeth Sicard.1 He married Julia Grant, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Frederick Dent Grant and Ida Marie Honoré, on 25 September 1899 at Newport, Rhode Island, U.S.A.G.1 He died on 25 March 1955 at age 79 at Sarasota, Florida, U.S.A.G.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Count Speransky [Russia, 1872] on 25 March 1894.1 He was educated at Cavalry School, Russia.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Horse Guards Regiment.1 He was Chief of Staff to the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armies, HH Grand Duke Nicholas of Russia.1
