     Major John Andrew Comyn was born on 28 August 1915.1 He was the son of Colonel Lewis James Comyn and Esther Mary Egan.2 He married, firstly, Diana Mary Neal, daughter of Archibald Charles Neal, on 30 April 1948.1 He and Diana Mary Neal were divorced in 1961.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Evelyn Grant, daughter of Major Alexander Grant, on 12 June 1963.1 He died in May 2000 at age 84 at Yeovil, Somerset, England.3
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, in North Africa, where he became a POW.1 He retired from the military in 1950, with the rank of Major, late of the King's Royal Irish Hussars.1 He was Director of Saintrutt & Parker (Farms) Ltd.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1968.1 He was appointed Fellow, Chartered Insitutute of Secretaries (F.C.I.S.)1 He lived in 1976 at Terling, Chelmsford, Essex, EnglandG.1
