     William Monckton-Arundell, 2nd Viscount Galway was the son of John Monckton, 1st Viscount Galway and Lady Elizabeth Manners.2 He married Elizabeth Villa-Real, daughter of Joseph Isaac Villa-Real and Catherine Rachel da Costa, on 12 August 1747.1 He died in 1772.1
     He was given the name of William Monckton at birth.1 He was Receiver-General of the Crown rents for Yorkshire, Westmorland and Durham in 1748.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Pontefract and Thirsk.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount of Killard, co. Clare [I., 1727] on 15 July 1751.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Galway, co. Galway [I., 1727] on 15 July 1751.2 In 1769 his name was legally changed to William Monckton-Arundell by Royal Licence, under the terms of the will of his aunt, Lady Frances Arundell.1

     Elizabeth Villa-Real was born in 1728.2 She was the daughter of Joseph Isaac Villa-Real and Catherine Rachel da Costa.1,2 She married William Monckton-Arundell, 2nd Viscount Galway, son of John Monckton, 1st Viscount Galway and Lady Elizabeth Manners, on 12 August 1747.1 She died on 2 January 1792.
     She was given the name of Sarah Villa-Real at birth.2 Her married name became Monckton.

     He was given the name of Henry William Monckton at birth.1 In 1769 his name was legally changed to Henry William Monckton-Arundell.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Galway [I., 1727] in 1772.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron of Killard, co. Clare [I., 1727] in 1772.1

Robert Monckton-Arundell, 4th Viscount Galway1

     Robert Monckton-Arundell, 4th Viscount Galway was born on 4 July 1758.1 He was the son of William Monckton-Arundell, 2nd Viscount Galway and Elizabeth Villa-Real.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Mathew, daughter of Daniel Mathew, on 1 March 1779.1 He married, secondly, Mary Bridget Milnes, daughter of Pemberton Milnes, on 24 May 1803.2 He died on 23 July 1810 at age 52.1
     He was also known as Robert Monckton.1 In 1769 his name was legally changed to Robert Monckton-Arundell.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron of Killard, co. Clare [I., 1727] on 2 March 1774.1 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Galway, co. Galway [I., 1727] on 2 March 1774.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for York and Pontefract.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.)1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1

     Elizabeth Mathew was the daughter of Daniel Mathew.2 She married Robert Monckton-Arundell, 4th Viscount Galway, son of William Monckton-Arundell, 2nd Viscount Galway and Elizabeth Villa-Real, on 1 March 1779.1 She died on 19 November 1801.1
     Essex.1 From 1 March 1779, her married name became Monckton-Arundell.
