Brigadier Edmond Wodehouse1

     Brigadier Edmond Wodehouse was born on 25 March 1894.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Capel Wodehouse and Portia Maria Rashleigh.2 He married Persis Joan Mary Rooper, daughter of Edward Plumer Rooper, on 22 August 1935.1 He died on 31 December 1959 at age 65.1 He was buried at St. Laurence's Churchyard, Chapelizod, County Dublin, Ireland.3
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.2 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Welch Fusiliers.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was Military Attaché to Eire in 1942.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1948.1

     From 22 August 1935, her married name became Wodehouse. From 1980, her married name became FitzHugh.2
