     Susan Jessy Minchin was born on 13 December 1823.¹ She was the daughter of James Minchin and Susan Mary Cherry.² She married Joseph John Cotton, son of John Cotton, in 1842.¹ She died in 1888.¹
     From 1842, her married name became Cotton.¹

     John Cotton lived a distinguished family of Indian civilians.¹

     Caroline Bracken Minchin was born in 1828.¹ She was the daughter of James Minchin and Susan Mary Cherry.² She died on 13 September 1829.¹

     Marion Smithson Minchin was born circa 1834.¹ She was the daughter of James Minchin and Susan Mary Cherry.²

     Sarah Eliza Minchin was born on 17 January 1838.¹ She was the daughter of James Minchin and Susan Mary Cherry.² She died in July 1856 at age 18.¹

     Frances Cotton Minchin was born on 25 July 1842.¹ She was the daughter of James Minchin and Susan Mary Cherry.² She married Sir Gordon Blennerhassett Voules, son of Reverend Francis Plimley Voules and Frances Blennerhassett, in 1866.¹ She died in 1912.¹
     From 1866, her married name became Voules.¹

     Sir Gordon Blennerhassett Voules was the son of Reverend Francis Plimley Voules and Frances Blennerhassett.¹ He married Frances Cotton Minchin, daughter of James Minchin and Susan Mary Cherry, in 1866.¹ He died in March 1924.¹
     He also had three daughters.¹
