     Ellen Adelaide Minchin was born on 4 April 1840.1 She was the daughter of Reverend William Minchin and Mary Anne Wright.2 She married Henry Richard Nicholls on 9 June 1863 at Ballarat, Victoria, AustraliaG.3 She died on 28 July 1908 at age 68 at Hobart, Tasmania, AustraliaG.4
     From 9 June 1863, her married name became Nicholls.

     Henry Richard Nicholls was born on 6 January 1830 at Regent Street, London, EnglandG.2 He married Ellen Adelaide Minchin, daughter of Reverend William Minchin and Mary Anne Wright, on 9 June 1863 at Ballarat, Victoria, AustraliaG.3 He died on 13 August 1912 at age 82 at Battery Point, Hobart, Tasmania, AustraliaG.3,2 He was also reported to have died on 1 September 1912.1
     He was Editor of The Mercury at Hobart, Tasmania, AustraliaG.1 He had three sons and two daughters.1

     Charles Humphrey Minchin was born in 1798.2 He was the son of William Minchin and Rebecca Minchin.3 He married, firstly, Amelia Wright, daughter of Corker Wright, in 1817.1 He married, secondly, Eleanor Gavin in 1860 at Birr, County Offaly, IrelandG.1,2 He died in 1874.2 He was also reported to have died in 1884.1
     He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1814 in the Royal Engineers.1 He fought in the Battle of Waterloo.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for King's County.1 He lived at Rutland, Birr, County Offaly, IrelandG.1
