     From 12 November 1946, her married name became Thurburn.1 From 1952, her married name became Huelin.1

Maj.-Gen. Roland Le Fanu1

     Maj.-Gen. Roland Le Fanu was born on 13 May 1887.1 He was the son of William Joseph Henry Le Fanu and Katharine Mary Moore.2,1 He married Marguerite Lumsdon, daughter of George Lumsdon, on 14 September 1922.1 He died on 2 January 1957 at age 69.1
     He was educated at GermanyG.1 He was commissioned in 1908, in the service of the Leicestershire Regiment.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.1 He fought in the Waziristan Campaign.1 He was Commandant of the Iraq Staff School between 1927 and 1929.1 He fought in the North-West Frontier between 1934 and 1938, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1938.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

Roland Le Fanu, son of William Joseph Henry Le Fanu and Katharine Mary Moore, on 14 September 1922.1 She died on 1 June 1972.1 She was buried at Grange Cemetery, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2
     From 14 September 1922, her married name became Le Fanu.1

     Sir George Victor Sheridan Le Fanu was born on 24 January 1925.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Roland Le Fanu and Marguerite Lumsdon.2 He married Elizabeth Hall, daughter of Major Herbert C. Hall, on 28 April 1956.1 He died on 5 February 2007 at age 82.3
     Sir George Victor Sheridan Le Fanu usually went by his middle name of Victor.1 He was educated at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was Assistant Adjutant between 1949 and 1952 at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was Adjtutant of the 2nd Battalion, Coldstream Guards between 1952 and 1955.1 He was Staff Captain to the Vice-Quartermaster-General to the Forces, War Office between 1960 and 1961.1 He retired from the military in 1963, with the rank of Major, late of the Coldstream Guards.1 He was Deputy Assistant Serjeant-at-Arms, House of Commons between 1963 and 1976.1 He lived in 1976 at Maltmans, Bagshot Road, Chobham, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He was Assistant Serjeant-at-Arms, House of Commons between 1976 and 1981.4 He was Deputy Serjeant-at-Arms, House of Commons between 1981 and 1982.4 He held the office of Serjeant-at-Arms, House of Commons between 1982 and 1989.4 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1987.4 He lived in 2003 at 29 Cranmer Court, Whitehead's Grove, London, EnglandG.4
