     Evangeline Bell was born on 27 November 1914 at Chelsea, London, England.2 She was the daughter of Edward Bell and Bertha Etelka Surtees.2 She married David Kirkpatrick Este Bruce on 23 April 1945.1 She died on 12 December 1995 at age 81 at Washington, D.C., U.S.A.2
     From 23 April 1945, her married name became Bruce.1
