Rear-Admiral Sir Thomas Ussher1

Rear-Admiral Sir Thomas Ussher was born in 1779.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Ussher and Mary Burne.1 He married Elizabeth Foster, daughter of Thomas Foster.1 He died on 6 January 1848.1
He gained the rank of Midshipman in 1791 in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1797.1 He gained the rank of Commander in 1806.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1808.1 He was Captain of the H.M.S. Undaunted on 28 April 1814 in which he carried Napoleon from Frejus to Elba.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Hanoverian Order (K.C.H.) in 1831.1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral of the Blue in 1846.1
