     Lt.-Col. Hon. John Gordon of Glentanner was born on 19 June 1728.1 He was the son of John Gordon, 3rd Earl of Aboyne and Grace Lockhart.1 He married Clementina Lockhart, daughter of George Lockhart, 3rd of Carnwath and Fergusia Wishart, on 18 May 1761.1 He died on 30 October 1778 at age 50 at Kinsale, County Cork, IrelandG.1,2
     He was Lieutenant-Colonel in the Honourable East India Company Service.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on 6 September 1777 in the 81st Regiment.1

     Clementina Lockhart was the daughter of George Lockhart, 3rd of Carnwath and Fergusia Wishart.1,2 She married Lt.-Col. Hon. John Gordon of Glentanner, son of John Gordon, 3rd Earl of Aboyne and Grace Lockhart, on 18 May 1761.1 She died on 31 March 1803.1 She was buried on 6 April 1803 at Restalrig, Midlothian, ScotlandG.3
     From 18 May 1761, her married name became Gordon.1

     He was Colonel-Commandant of the 2nd Brigade, Bengal Cavalry.1

     Eliza Morris is the daughter of Robert Morris.1 She married, firstly, Maj.-Gen. John Gordon, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. John Gordon of Glentanner and Clementina Lockhart, in November 1810.1 She married, secondly, James Badham Thornhill in 1836.2
     From November 1810, her married name became Gordon.1 From 1836, her married name became Thornhill.2
