     Muriel Edith Hastings was born on 3 May 1886.1 She was the daughter of Admiral Alexander Plantagenet Hastings and Edith Caroline Blake.2 She married Major Oswald Fairbanks Smith, son of Reverend Lewis A. Smith, on 5 August 1914.1 She died on 25 December 1961 at age 75.1
     From 5 August 1914, her married name became Smith.

     Major Oswald Fairbanks Smith was the son of Reverend Lewis A. Smith.2 He married Muriel Edith Hastings, daughter of Admiral Alexander Plantagenet Hastings and Edith Caroline Blake, on 5 August 1914.1 He died on 19 June 1942.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Hodson's Horse, Indian Army.1

Richard Godolphin Henry Hastings was born on 26 March 1820.1 He was the son of Hans Francis Hastings, 12th Earl of Huntingdon and Frances Cobbe.2,1 He married Agnes Fynes-Clinton, daughter of Henry Fynes-Clinton and Katharine Majendie, on 26 November 1846.1 He died on 10 March 1865 at age 44.1
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)3 He was the Rector at Hertingfordbury, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1

     From 26 November 1846, her married name became Hastings.
