Algernon Giles Seymour was born on 1 September 1886.1 He was the son of Venerable Albert Eden Seymour and Hester Emily Fortescue.2 He married Ida Grace Hammick, daughter of Vice-Admiral Robert Frederick Hammick and Grace Caroline Longman, on 21 July 1921.1 He died on 22 October 1933 at age 47.1
     He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Chaplain between 1915 and 1920 in the Royal Navy.1 He was the Provost between 1927 and 1933 at St. Mary's Cathedral, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1

     Vice-Admiral Robert Frederick Hammick was born on 23 October 1843.2 He was the son of Rev. Sir St. Vincent Love Hammick, 2nd Bt. and Mary Alexander.2 He married Grace Caroline Longman, daughter of William Longman, in 1884.2 He died in December 1922 at age 79.2

     Ida Grace Hammick was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Robert Frederick Hammick and Grace Caroline Longman.2 She married Very Rev. Algernon Giles Seymour, son of Venerable Albert Eden Seymour and Hester Emily Fortescue, on 21 July 1921.1 She died in 1971.2
     From 21 July 1921, her married name became Seymour.
