     Howard Robard Hughes, Jr. was born on 24 December 1905 at Houston, Texas, U.S.A.G.2 He was the son of Howard Robard Hughes and Allene Stone Gano.2 He married, firstly, Ella Botts Rice, daughter of David Rice and Martha Lawson Botts, on 1 June 1925.2 He and Ella Botts Rice were divorced in 1929.2 He married, secondly, Jean Peters on 12 January 1957.1 He and Jean Peters were divorced in 1971.2 He died on 5 April 1976 at age 70 at Houston, Texas, U.S.A.G.2
     He and Bessie Love were associated circa 1927.2 He was a film producer.2 In 1932 he founded Hughes Aircraft Company.2 He was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 1939 for aviation.2 Between 1939 and 1966 he controlled TWA Airlines.2 In 1948 he controlled RKO studio.2 In 1953 he founded the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.2 He was chairman of Hughes Aircraft.2
