     Captain Hugh Cuthbert Dudley Ryder was born on 10 February 1843.1 He was the son of Hon. Frederick Dudley Ryder and Marian Charlotte Emily Cokayne.1 He married Ada Julia Cautley, daughter of Sir Proby Thomas Cautley, on 17 February 1887 in a without issue marriage.1 He died on 14 January 1898 at age 54.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

     Ada Julia Cautley was the daughter of Sir Proby Thomas Cautley.1 She married Captain Hugh Cuthbert Dudley Ryder, son of Hon. Frederick Dudley Ryder and Marian Charlotte Emily Cokayne, on 17 February 1887 in a without issue marriage.1 She died on 24 June 1931.1
     From 17 February 1887, her married name became Ryder.1
