     Arthur Henry Heywood was born on 21 December 1826.2 He was the son of Sir Benjamin Heywood, 1st Bt. and Sophia Ann Robinson.3 He married, firstly, Alice Langton, daughter of William Langton, on 25 January 1853.2 He married, secondly, Margaret Helen Foster, daughter of John Frederick Foster, on 10 January 1861.2 He died on 11 March 1901 at age 74.2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Westmorland.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.2 He lived at Elleray, Windermere, Westmorland, EnglandG.1
