     Charles William Hewett was born on 14 January 1858.1 He was the son of Frank William Hewett and Julie Minna von Douallier.2 He married Marianne Ellen Munn, daughter of Reverend G. S. Munn, in 1893.1 He died on 4 December 1942 at age 84.1
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Indian Navy.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Brigadier William George Hewett was born on 4 September 1894.1 He was the son of Charles William Hewett and Marianne Ellen Munn.2 He married, firstly, Louise Susan Wolfe, daughter of Francis Richard Wolfe, on 19 April 1922.1 He and Louise Susan Wolfe were divorced in 1931.1 He married, secondly, Beatrice Donegan, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Francis Donegan, on 11 June 1932.1 He died on 30 April 1973 at age 78 at Ellmore, Gloucestershire, England.1,3
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches five times, and was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Brevet Major.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) and bar.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Welch Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1941.1 He was District Army Welfare Officer in 1946.1

     From 19 April 1922, her married name became Hewett. From 9 February 1934, her married name became Hackett. She lived in 1976 at The Spinney, Appleshaw, Andover, Hampshire, England.3

     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Malayan Emergency in 1953, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was chairman and managing director of Readers Digest UK.1 He was director of international operations for Readers Digest USA between 1986 and 1988.1
