Henry Erskine Girard was born on 28 October 1855.1 He was the son of Henry Charles Girard and Estehr Dale (?)1 He was baptised on 2 December 1855 at Kidderpore, India.1 He married Isabel Mary Etheridge, daughter of Walter Joseph Etheridge, on 25 January 1883 at St. John's Church, Calcutta, India.1 He died in 1930 at Liskeard, Cornwall, England.1
