John Taylor Winnington1

     John Taylor Winnington was born on 17 January 1814.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Edward Winnington, 3rd Bt. and Joanna Taylor.2 He married Emma Prothero, daughter of Thomas Prothero and Mary Collins, on 27 October 1842.1 He died on 12 May 1844 at age 30.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd York Militia.1

Emma Prothero1

     Emma Prothero was the daughter of Thomas Prothero and Mary Collins.1 She married, secondly, Captain Henry Barre Phipps.1 She married, firstly, John Taylor Winnington, son of Sir Thomas Edward Winnington, 3rd Bt. and Joanna Taylor, on 27 October 1842.1 She died on 6 February 1901.1
     Her married name became Phipps.1 From 27 October 1842, her married name became Winnington.

     John Taylor Winnington was born in August 1843.1 He was the son of John Taylor Winnington and Emma Prothero.2 He married Rose Sartorius, daughter of Admiral Sir George Rose Sartorius and Sophia Lamb, on 29 April 1875.1 He died in 1877.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Dragoons.1

Rose Sartorius1

     Rose Sartorius was the daughter of Admiral Sir George Rose Sartorius and Sophia Lamb.1 She married, firstly, John Taylor Winnington, son of John Taylor Winnington and Emma Prothero, on 29 April 1875.1 She married, secondly, Major Herbert Winnington Domvile, son of Henry Barry Domvile and Frances Winnington-Ingram, on 23 September 1880.1 She died on 14 October 1905.1
     From 29 April 1875, her married name became Winnington. From 23 September 1880, her married name became Domvile.1

John Francis Sartorius Winnington1

     John Francis Sartorius Winnington was born on 17 September 1876.1 He was the son of John Taylor Winnington and Rose Sartorius.2 He married Joyce Mary Marriage, daughter of David Marriage, on 20 July 1910.1 He died on 22 September 1918 at age 42, from wounds received in action.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He gained the rank of Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the Worcestershire Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was Assistant Inspector of Recruiting in 1917.1
