     Reverend Francis James Noel was born on 4 May 1793 at London, England.1,2 He was the son of Sir Gerard Noel Noel, 2nd Bt. and Diana Middleton, Baroness Barham.3 He married Cecilia Penelope Methuen, daughter of Paul Cobb Methuen and Matilda Gooch, on 24 April 1822.1 He died on 30 July 1854 at age 61.1
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Rector at Nettlestead, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was the Rector at Teston, Kent, EnglandG.1

     Cecilia Penelope Methuen was born circa 1798 at Corsham, Wiltshire, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Paul Cobb Methuen and Matilda Gooch.1 She married Reverend Francis James Noel, son of Sir Gerard Noel Noel, 2nd Bt. and Diana Middleton, Baroness Barham, on 24 April 1822.1 She died on 27 June 1885.1
     From 24 April 1822, her married name became Noel.

     Sarah Gay Forbes Darwin was born on 13 February 1830.2 She was the daughter of William Brown Darwin.3 She married Colonel Edward Andrew Noel, son of Reverend Francis James Noel and Cecilia Penelope Methuen, on 24 August 1848.1 She died on 15 June 1889 at age 59.1
     From 24 August 1848, her married name became Noel.

     Colonel William Frederick Noel was born on 8 August 1849.2 He was the son of Colonel Edward Andrew Noel and Sarah Gay Forbes Darwin.2 He married, firstly, Josephine Annie Hallewell, daughter of Joseph Watts Hallewell, on 4 February 1879.2 He and Josephine Annie Hallewell were divorced in 1883.2 He married, secondly, Beatrice Elizabeth Bradney, daughter of Reverend Joseph Christopher Bradney, on 21 January 1885.2 He married, thirdly, Laura Carolina Beilby, daughter of Charles Henry Beilby, on 2 September 1896.2 He died on 8 October 1923 at age 74.2

     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal East Kent Yeomanry.1 He fought in the First World War in 1915, where he was wounded.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1919.1
