     Edward John McDonald Dent was the son of Edward John Dent.1 He married Margot Pigot, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Sir Robert Pigot, 6th Bt. and Norah Beatrice Oakeley Hargreaves, on 15 February 1949.1 He died on 29 March 2004.2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.2 Edward John McDonald Dent usually went by his middle name of John.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)2

     Sir Oswald Joseph Hornby Birley was born on 31 March 1880 at Auckland, New Zealand.2 He was the son of Hugh Francis Birley and Elizabeth McQuorquodale.3 He married Rhoda Vava Mary Lecky Pike, daughter of Robert Lecky Pike, in 1921.3,2 He died on 6 May 1952 at age 72 at London, England.1,2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.2 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He fought in the First World War, in the Royal Fusiliers.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was an artist.1 He was appointed Knight in 1949.2
