     Anne Irvine Syme was the daughter of Patrick Syme and Eliza Irvine-Boswell.2,1 She married Archer Irvine-Fortescue, son of Reverend William Fortescue and Isobel Barclay Christie, on 31 August 1848.1 She died on 28 August 1909.1
     From 31 August 1848, her married name became Fortescue. From 1875, her married name became Irvine-Fortescue.1
