     Maj.-Gen. Sir Ephraim Gerrish Stannus was born in 1784.1 He was the son of Ephraim Stannus and Susanna Gerrish.1 He married Mary Louisa Fraser on 16 October 1829.1 He died in October 1850.1
     He fought in the Kattywar Campaign.1 He fought in the Mahratta Campaign.1 He was Private Secretary to the Governor of Bombay.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was Lieutenant-Governor at Honourable East India Company College, Addiscombe, London, EnglandG.1

     Mary Louisa Fraser married, firstly, James Gordon on 8 September 1819 at Nagpore, Bengal, India.1,2 She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen. Sir Ephraim Gerrish Stannus, son of Ephraim Stannus and Susanna Gerrish, on 16 October 1829.1
     From 8 September 1819, her married name became Gordon.1 From 16 October 1829, her married name became Stannus.1

     Trevor Stannus was born in 1700.1 He was the son of William Stannus and Mabella Dawson.1 He married Jane Sibthorp, daughter of Robert Sibthorp, in 1728.1 He died on 19 October 1771.1 He was buried at French Church, Portarlington, County Laois, IrelandG.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Louth in 1744.1 He lived at Portarlington, County Laois, IrelandG.1
