     Cynthia Averil Charrington was born circa 1916.2 She was the daughter of Brigadier Harold Vincent Spencer Charrington and Eleanor Sophia Campbell Jeffreys.1,2 She married, firstly, Captain Alexander Hugh Gurney, son of Sir Hugh Gurney and Mariota Susan Carnegie, before 1969.1 She married, secondly, Commander Hon. Alexander Bannerman Carnegie, son of Charles Noel Carnegie, 10th Earl of Southesk and Ethel Mary Elizabeth Bannerman, on 5 August 1969.1 She died on 30 January 2011 at Crondall, Hampshire, EnglandG, without issue.2
     From before 1969, her married name became Gurney.1 From 5 August 1969, her married name became Carnegie.1

     Brigadier Harold Vincent Spencer Charrington was born in 1886.2 He was the son of Spencer Calmeyer Charrington.3 He married Eleanor Sophia Campbell Jeffreys, daughter of Rt. Hon. Arthur Frederick Jeffreys and Amy Constantia Fenwick, on 2 July 1914.3 He died on 8 June 1965.2
     He gained the rank of Brigadier in the 12th Royal Lancers.3 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1
