     He was Chief Engineer for the Public Worlds Department of Madras.¹ He was Executive Engineer for the Mettur Dam Project.¹

     Edith Gillon was the daughter of Albert E. Gillon.¹ She married Richard Francis Stoney, son of Edward Waller Stoney and Sarah Crawford, on 23 August 1910.¹ She died on 11 June 1953.¹
     From 23 August 1910, her married name became Stoney.¹
