     Thomas Alexander Riddell-Carre was born on 26 September 1831.2 He is the son of Walter Riddell-Carre of Cavers Carre and Elizabeth Riddell McLachlan.3 He married Elizabeth Fellows, daughter of Alfred Thomas Fellows, on 5 August 1865.2 He died on 21 March 1905 at age 73.2
     He was also known as Thomas Alexander Riddell.2 He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He lived at Cavers Carre, Roxburghshire, Scotland.2

     Emma Sophia Christina Durrant was the daughter of Christopher Mercer Durrant.1 She married Lt.-Col. Francis Sadleir Stoney, son of Reverend Ralph Stoney and Abigail Sadleir, on 11 June 1872.1 She died on 19 February 1930.1
     From 11 June 1872, her married name became Stoney.1

Colonel Ralph Durrant Sadleir Stoney1

     Colonel Ralph Durrant Sadleir Stoney was born on 8 April 1873.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Francis Sadleir Stoney and Emma Sophia Christina Durrant.1 He married Emily Maud Moore Morgan, daughter of Reverend William Moore Morgan, on 26 July 1900.1 He died on 9 April 1955 at age 82.1
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1 He retired from the military in 1923, with the rank of Colonel, late of the Royal Irish Fusiliers.1 He lived at Dunseaverick, Yateley, Hampshire, EnglandG.1

     Emily Maud Moore Morgan was the daughter of Reverend William Moore Morgan.1 She married Colonel Ralph Durrant Sadleir Stoney, son of Lt.-Col. Francis Sadleir Stoney and Emma Sophia Christina Durrant, on 26 July 1900.1 She died on 7 February 1962.1
     From 26 July 1900, her married name became Stoney.1

     Brigadier Ralph Francis Ewart Stoney was born on 28 June 1903.1 He was the son of Colonel Ralph Durrant Sadleir Stoney and Emily Maud Moore Morgan.1 He married Kathleen Nina Fardon Kirkland, daughter of Professor Arthur Kirkland, on 29 September 1939.1 He died on 19 January 2003 at age 99.2
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1943.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1952.1 He retired from the military in 1954, with the rank of Brigadier, late of the Royal Engineers.1 He was Director-General of the Royal Soicety for the Prevention of Accidents between 1959 and 1968.1 He lived in 1976 at Chota Gur, Crakell Road, Reigate, Surrey, EnglandG.1
