     George Stoney was born in 1792.1 He was the son of James Johnston Stoney and Catherine Baker.1 He married Anne Blood, daughter of Bindon Blood and Ann Burton, in 1821.1
     He lived at Oakley Park, County Offaly, IrelandG.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)2 He lived at Oakley Park, Parsonstown, County Offaly, IrelandG.2

     Anne Blood was born on 4 June 1801.2 She was the daughter of Bindon Blood and Ann Burton.1,2 She married George Stoney, son of James Johnston Stoney and Catherine Baker, in 1821.1 She died on 29 October 1883 at age 82.2
     From 1821, her married name became Stoney.1

Bindon Blood1

     Bindon Blood was born on 17 March 1775.2 He was the son of Colonel William Blood and Elizabeth Bindon.2 He married, firstly, Ann Burton, daughter of Major Edward William Burton and Jane Blood, in May 1796.2 He and Harriet Bagot obtained a marriage license on 27 December 1809, this was his second marriage.2 He married, thirdly, Maria Hinckley.2 He died on 27 January 1855 at age 79.2
     Bindon Blood also went by the nick-name of 'The Vampire'.2 He held the office of High Sheriff in 1819.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He lived at Cranagher, County Clare, IrelandG,2 and at Rockforest, County Clare, IrelandG.2 In 1856 his collection of books and coins was sold at Sotherbys for £17,000.2

George Johnstone Stoney1

     George Johnstone Stoney was the son of George Stoney and Anne Blood.1 He married Margaret Stoney, daughter of Robert Johnstone Stoney and Ann Smithwick, in 1863.1 He died in July 1911.1
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1 He was the Secretary at Queen's University, Belfast, County Antrim, IrelandG.1
