Nicholas Blake1

     Nicholas Blake was a minor at the time of his father's death on 20 April 1581.1 He was the son of John Blake and Cecilia Skerrett.1 He married, firstly, Cathaline Brown in a childless marriage.1 He married, secondly, Juliana ffrench, daughter of Valentine ffrench.1 He died on 28 February 1621 at age 39, intestate.1 An inquest post mortem was held for his on 21 October 1621.1
     He was one of the parties to the decree of 25 October 1616, by the Lord Deputy and the Commissioners appointed for settling The King's compositions, which ratified and confirmed the decree of 6 March 1571 that stated that the lands belonging to the complainants in Kiltullagh, etc., should be held by them for ever, free from all charges to The Queen or any other charges.1 He was a merchant.1 He lived at Galway, County Galway, IrelandG.1
