     He was given the name of Walter Blake Butler at birth.¹ On 1 August 1889 his name was legally changed to Walter Blake Butler-Creagh by Royal Licence.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.¹ He lived at Walterstown, County Clare, Ireland^G.²

     Eliazbeth Clara Creagh was the daughter of Cornelius Creagh.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Walter Blake Butler-Creagh, son of Nicholas Butler and Anna Butler, on 13 November 1888.² She died in 1928.¹
     From 13 November 1888, her married name became Butler. From 1 August 1889, her married name became Butler-Creagh.¹

     Richard Butler-Creagh was born on 10 May 1890.² He was the son of Lt.-Col. Walter Blake Butler-Creagh and Eliazbeth Clara Creagh.¹ He married Ada Murray in 1919.¹ He died in 1955.¹

     Ada Murray married Richard Butler-Creagh, son of Lt.-Col. Walter Blake Butler-Creagh and Eliazbeth Clara Creagh, in 1919.¹ She died in 1949.¹
     From 1919, her married name became Butler-Creagh.¹
