     William Butterworth Bayley was born on 3 November 1781.1 He was the son of Thomas Butterworth Bayley and Mary Leggatt.1 He was baptised on 7 January 1782 at Manchester, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He married Anne Augusta Jackson, daughter of William Jackson and Mary Steuart, in February 1809 at Calcutta, IndiaG.1 He died on 20 May 1860 at age 78 at St. Leonard's-on-Sea, Sussex, EnglandG.1
