     Joseph Barry was born on 8 November 1796.1 He was the son of David Barry and Emma Taylor.1 He married Ellen Power, daughter of Sir John Power, 1st Bt., in 1852.1 He died on 18 September 1860 at age 63, without issue.1
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Midleton Lodge, Glanbeg, County Cork, IrelandG.1
