     Francis Fane was born circa 1698.¹ He was the son of Henry Fane and Anne Scrope.¹ He died on 28 May 1757, unmarried.¹
     He was a practising barrister.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) between 1727 and 1757.¹

     Thomas Fane, 8th Earl of Westmorland was baptised on 8 March 1700/1.² He was the son of Henry Fane and Anne Scrope.¹ He married Elizabeth Swymmer, daughter of William Swymmer, on 8 August 1727.² He died on 12 November 1771 at age 70.
     He was clerk to the Society of Merchant Venturers.² He was a merchant at Bristol, England^G.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Lyme Regis between 1753 and 1762.² He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1759 entitled to practise as a barrister.² He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Westmorland [E., 1624] on 26 August 1762.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baron Burghersh, co. Sussex [E., 1624] on 26 August 1762.¹

     Elizabeth Swymmer was born in August 1708.¹ She was the daughter of William Swymmer.¹ She married, firstly, Samuel Kentish before 1727.¹ She married, secondly, Thomas Fane, 8th Earl of Westmorland, son of Henry Fane and Anne Scrope, on 8 August 1727.¹ She died on 17 November 1782 at age 74.¹
     From before 1727, her married name became Kentish.¹ From 8 August 1727, her married name became Fane.¹ After her marriage, Elizabeth Swymmer was styled as Countess of Westmorland on 26 August 1762.

     William Swymmer was a merchant at Bristol, England^G.¹

     Lord Montague Bertie is the son of Robert Bertie, 1st Duke of Ancaster and Kesteven and Albinia Farrington.¹

     Amelia Montgomery was born in 1766.² She was the daughter of Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. and Anne Evatt.¹ She married Reverend Charles Cobbe Beresford, son of Rt. Hon. John de la Poer Beresford and Anne Constantia de Ligondes, on 22 November 1795.¹ She died on 14 March 1839.¹
     Her married name became Beresford.

     Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. was born on 19 November 1717.¹ He was the son of William Montgomery of Magbiehill and Barbara Rutherford.¹ He married, firstly, Hannah Tomkyns, daughter of Alexander Tomkyns, on 1 July 1750.¹ He married, secondly, Anne Evatt, daughter of Humphry Evatt, on 9 January 1762.¹ He died on 26 December 1788 at age 71.¹
     He succeeded as the 1st Baronet Montgomery, of Magbiehill [Great Britain] on 29 October 1774.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Ireland]¹ He lived at Macbie Hill, Peebles-shire, Scotland^G.

     Rt. Hon. John de la Poer Beresford was born on 14 March 1737/38.² He was the son of Marcus Beresford, 1st Earl of Tyrone and Catherine Power, Baroness la Poer.^3,2 He married, firstly, Anne Constantia de Ligondes, daughter of Chevalier unknown de Ligondes, on 12 November 1760.² He married, secondly, Barbara Montgomery, daughter of Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. and Hannah Tomkyns, on 4 June 1774.³ He died on 5 November 1805 at age 67.²
     He was a practising barrister.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland]² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)² He was Commisioner of Revenue [Ireland] in 1770.² He was President of the Board of Revenue.² He was Taster of the Wines in Port of Dublin.⁴

     Lady Mary Catherine Charlotte Ashburnham was born on 3 January 1890.¹ She was the daughter of Bertram Ashburnham, 5th Earl of Ashburnham and Emily Chaplin.¹ She died on 5 January 1953 at age 63, unmarried.¹
     She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.¹
