     Alfred Ernest Albert Fremantle was born on 26 September 1884.¹ He was the son of Admiral Hon. Sir Edmund Robert Fremantle and Barberina Rogers Isaacs.¹ He married Gladys Hamilton on 19 February 1908.¹ He died on 15 March 1955 at age 70.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was awarded the Order of the Redeemer of Greece.¹ He was Senior Master of Modern Languages between 1923 and 1927 at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Gladys Hamilton married Alfred Ernest Albert Fremantle, son of Admiral Hon. Sir Edmund Robert Fremantle and Barberina Rogers Isaacs, on 19 February 1908.¹ She died on 15 April 1945.¹
