     Margaret de Carteret Martin was the daughter of Stephen Joseph Martin.1 She married Theodore John Chichester Acton, son of Lt.-Col. Thomas Hampden Evans Acton and Olivia Charlotte Jessie May, on 3 February 1913.1 She died on 12 February 1971.1
     She was awarded the British Empire Medal (B.E.M.)1 From 3 February 1913, her married name became Acton.
