     F/O Basil Alexander Cochrane was born on 12 August 1929.1 He was the son of Commander Alexander Francis Cochrane and Osma Rosina Heather Cochrane.2 He died on 3 May 1952 at age 22 at MalaysiaG, missing and believed killed through a premature explosion of ammunition while leading an anti-bandit strike.1
     He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force.1 He fought in the Malayan Emergency.1

     Frances Morgan is the daughter of Sir Edward Morgan, 3rd Bt. and Mary Baskerville.1 She married Edmund Bray, son of Sir Reginald Bray and Jane Rainton, on 16 December 1697.1

     Nora Avice Drake-Cutliffe was the daughter of Charles Bernard Mervyn Drake-Cutliffe.2 She married Major Charles FitzGerald Thomas Cochrane, son of Basil Edward Arthur Cochrane and Sally Caroline FitzGerald, on 21 July 1933.1 She died on 12 August 1976.1
     From 21 July 1933, her married name became Cochrane.

     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Morgan, of Llantarnam, co. Monmouth.1
