     Mary Preston is the daughter of Sir John Preston of Valleyfield.2 She married Reverend John Colville, son of Reverend Alexander Colville and Anne le Blanc, in 1665.1
     From 1665, her married name became Colville.1

Alexander Colville of Kincardine1

     Alexander Colville of Kincardine was born circa 1666.1 He was the son of Reverend John Colville and Mary Preston.2 He married Mary Erskine, daughter of Sir Charles Erskine of Cambo, 1st Bt. and Penelope Barclay, in 1687.1 He died on 9 August 1717.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Lord Colville of Culross [S., 1604] after 1678, de jure.1

     Sir Charles Erskine of Cambo, 1st Bt. was the son of Alexander Erskine, Viscount Fentoun and Lady Anne Seton.2 He married Penelope Barclay, daughter of Arthur Barclay of Colhill, in 1663.2 He died in February 1677.2
     He held the office of Lord Lyon King of Arms in 1663.1 He was created 1st Baronet Erskine, of Cambo, co. Fife [Nova Scotia] on 20 August 1666.2

     Mary Erskine was baptised on 21 May 1667.2 She was the daughter of Sir Charles Erskine of Cambo, 1st Bt. and Penelope Barclay.2 She married Alexander Colville of Kincardine, son of Reverend John Colville and Mary Preston, in 1687.1
     From 1687, her married name became Colville.1

     John Colville, 6th Lord Colville of Culross was born in 1690.1 He was the son of Alexander Colville of Kincardine and Mary Erskine.2 He married Elizabeth Johnston in 1716.1 He died on 20 April 1741 at Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Lord Colville of Culross [S., 1604] on 27 May 1723, after his claim to the title was allowed.1 He fought in the Siege of Cartagena de Indias in 1741, where he commanded a regiment.1

Vice-Admiral Alexander Colville, 7th Lord Colville of Culross1

     Vice-Admiral Alexander Colville, 7th Lord Colville of Culross was born on 28 February 1717.1 He was the son of John Colville, 6th Lord Colville of Culross and Elizabeth Johnston.2 He married Lady Elizabeth Erskine, daughter of Alexander Erskine, 5th Earl of Kellie and Janet Pitcairn, on 1 October 1768.1 He died on 21 May 1770 at age 53, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 7th Lord Colville of Culross [S., 1604] on 20 April 1741.1 He fought in the Siege of Quebec in 1759, as commander of the Northumberland.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the North America in 1760.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral of the White.1

     Lady Elizabeth Erskine was the daughter of Alexander Erskine, 5th Earl of Kellie and Janet Pitcairn.2 She married, firstly, Walter Macfarlane of Macfarlane on 23 April 1760.1 She married, secondly, Vice-Admiral Alexander Colville, 7th Lord Colville of Culross, son of John Colville, 6th Lord Colville of Culross and Elizabeth Johnston, on 1 October 1768.1 She died in 1794.1
     From 23 April 1760, her married name became Macfarlane.1 From 1 October 1768, her married name became Colville.1
