     James Colthurst was the son of John Colthurst and Alice Conway.2 He married Elizabeth Russell, daughter of Colonel Christopher Russell and Mary Hook.1 He died in 1757.2
     He lived at Dripsey Castle, County Cork, IrelandG.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Cork in 1747.1
