     He lived at Binfield Park, Berkshire, EnglandG.1

     Commander John Wyndham Cookson was born in 1897 at London, England.2 He was the son of William Reginald Cookson and Aimie Marguerite Rousseau de Labrosse.3,2 He married Mary Colquhoun, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Alan John Colquhoun of Luss, 6th Bt. and Justine Henrietta Kennedy, on 23 June 1922 at St. George's, Hanover Square, London, England.1 He died on 29 September 1958 at Hastings, Kent, England.1,2
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He lived at Strand Hill, Winchelsea, Sussex, England.3

     Helen Margaret Colquhoun was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Alan John Colquhoun of Luss, 6th Bt. and Justine Henrietta Kennedy.2 She married Captain Michael Conder Harewell Smith-Carington, son of Richard Smith-Carington, on 16 August 1926.1 She died on 12 October 1955, without issue.1
     From 16 August 1926, her married name became Smith-Carington.
