     Edward Francis Colston was born in 1769.1 He was the son of Reverend Alexander Colston and Louisa Minshull Elers.2,1 He married, firstly, Arabella Clayfield, daughter of Michael Clayfield, in 1792.1 He married, secondly, Harriet Davies, daughter of Robert Davies, on 18 October 1814.1
     He lived at Filkin's Hall, EnglandG.1 He had a younger son and four daughters by his first wife.1
