     Lady Edith Christian Ramsay was the daughter of Sir James Andrew Ramsay, 1st and last Marquess of Dalhousie of Dalhousie Castle and Lady Susan Georgiana Hay.1 She married Rt. Hon. Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 6th Bt., son of Sir Charles Dalrymple-Fergusson of Kilkerran, 5th Bt. and Helen Boyle, on 9 August 1859.1 She died on 28 October 1871.1
     From 9 August 1859, her married name became Fergusson.1
