     Sir John Owen, 1st Bt. was born in 1776.1 He was the son of Joseph Lord and Corbetta Owen.2 He married, firstly, Charlotte Phillips, daughter of Reverend John L. Phillips, in 1800.1 He married, secondly, Mary Frances Stephenson, daughter of Edward Stephenson, on 21 October 1830.1 He died on 6 February 1861.1
     He was given the name of John Lord at birth.1 Circa 1809 his name was legally changed to John Owen on inheriting the estate of Sir Hugh Owen, 6th Bt.1 He was created 1st Baronet Owen, of Orielton, co. Pembroke [U.K.] on 12 January 1813.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Pembrokeshire.1 He held the office of Governor of Milford Haven.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Pembroke District between 1838 and 1861.1

     Charlotte Phillips was the daughter of Reverend John L. Phillips.3 She married Sir John Owen, 1st Bt., son of Joseph Lord and Corbetta Owen, in 1800.1 She died on 1 September 1829.1
     From 1800, her married name became Owen.

     Sir Hugh Owen, 2nd Bt. was born in 1803.2 He was the son of Sir John Owen, 1st Bt. and Charlotte Phillips.2 He married, firstly, Angelina Maria Cecilia Morgan, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Morgan, 2nd Bt. and Mary Margaret Stoney, on 12 April 1825.2 He married, secondly, Henrietta Fraser Rodney, daughter of Captain Hon. Edward Rodney and Rebecca Geer, on 28 October 1845.2 He died on 5 September 1891.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Pembroke between 1826 and 1838.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Pembrokeshire.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Pembroke between 1861 and 1868.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Owen, of Orielton, co. Pembroke [U.K., 1813] on 6 February 1861.2 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the Pembrokeshire Artillery.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Victoria.1

     Charlotte Owen was born in 1802 at Pibor, Cardiganshire, Wales.2 She was the daughter of Sir John Owen, 1st Bt. and Charlotte Phillips.3 She married John Meares on 2 August 1819.1 She died on 20 July 1852 at Isle of Wight, EnglandG.1,2
     From 2 August 1819, her married name became Meares. She lived in 1851 at 6 Angelsey, Alverstoke, Hampshire, EnglandG.2

     Alice Maria Owen was baptised on 28 October 1806 at Llanganynin, Carmarthenshire, Wales. She was the daughter of Sir John Owen, 1st Bt. and Charlotte Phillips.2 She married Edward Marcus Whyte on 20 May 1830 at Bentley, Hampshire, England.1 She died in 1836.1
     She was given the name of Alice Maria Lord at birth. From 20 May 1830, her married name became Whyte.
