     He was given the name of William Mark Lockwood at birth.¹ In 1828 his name was legally changed to William Mark Wood.¹ He held the office of High Sheriiff of Monmouthshire in 1847.¹ He fought in the Crimean War, with the Coldstream Guards.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 67th Regiment.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Essex.¹ He lived at Bishop's Hall, Essex, England^G.¹

     Helen Maria Lockwood was the daughter of William Joseph Lockwood and Rachel Wood.¹ She died on 9 February 1899, unmarried.¹

     Georgiana Matilda Josephine Lockwood was the daughter of William Joseph Lockwood and Rachel Wood.¹ She married Admiral Sir George Ommaney Willes on 16 May 1855.¹ She died in 1912.¹
     From 16 May 1855, her married name became Willes.¹

     Hon. Harri Cledwyn Hughes was born in 1955.¹ He is the son of Cledwyn Hughes, Baron Cledwyn of Penrhos and Jean Beatrice Hughes.¹ He married Jennifer Meryl Hughes, daughter of R. P. Hughes, in 1986.¹
