John Brodrick and Anne Graham, on 1 January 1858.1 He married, secondly, Anna William, daughter of Dr. David William, on 7 January 1868.1 He died on 20 April 1904 at age 87 at Wells, Norfolk, England.2
     He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) in 1858.1 He held the office of Bishop of Nelson, New Zealand between 1858 and 1865.1
