     Francis Paynton Pigott was born circa 1837.2 He was the son of Francis Pigott.1 He married Henrietta Anne Carleton, Baroness Dorchester, daughter of Guy Carleton, 3rd Baron Dorchester and Anne Wauchope, on 14 June 1864.1,2 He died on 7 April 1883.1
     After 1864 his name was legally changed to Francis Paynton Pigott-Carleton.1 He also had an elder son (died young) and a daughter.1
