     Sir Melville Leslie MacNaghten was born on 16 June 1853.2 He was the son of Elliot MacNaghten and Isabella Law.3 He married Dora Emily Sanderson, daughter of Reverend Robert Edward Sanderson and Dorinthea Phelps Oldham, on 3 October 1878.4 He died on 12 May 1921 at age 67.2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Middlesex.2 He was Assistant Commissioner of Metropolitan Police in 1903.2 He was appointed Knight in 1907.2 He was awarded the Knight Commander, White Military Order of Spain.2 He was awarded the Commander, Order of Dannebrog 2nd Class.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1918.1,5

     Lady Augusta Bingham was born on 7 February 1832.1 She was the daughter of Field Marshal George Charles Bingham, 3rd Earl of Lucan and Lady Anne Brudenell.1 She married Henry Gerard Sturt, 1st Baron Alington of Crichel, son of Henry Charles Sturt and Lady Charlotte Penelope Brudenell, on 10 September 1853.1 She died on 3 July 1888 at age 56 at Alington House, London, EnglandG.1,2
     Her married name became Sturt. After her marriage, Lady Augusta Bingham was styled as Baroness Alington of Crichel on 15 January 1876.

     After her marriage, Evelyn Henrietta Leigh was styled as Baroness Alington of Crichel on 10 February 1892. From 10 February 1892, her married name became Sturt.

     Alexander Monypenny Lindsay was born on 7 April 1836.1 He was the son of David Ayton-Lindsay of Wormiston and Jane Emilia Ayton.1 He married Mary Sproat, daughter of Alexander Sproat, on 13 November 1872.1 He died on 22 March 1905 at age 68, without issue.1
     He was a practising Advocate.1
