George Drummond, 14th Earl of Perth

     George Drummond, 14th Earl of Perth was born on 6 May 1807.1 He was the son of Léon Maurice Drummond and Marie Elizabeth Lucie de Longemarre.1 He married, firstly, Albertine Charlotte Freiin von Rotberg, daughter of Friedrich August Freiherr von Rotberg and Pauline Waldner von Freundstein, on 19 May 1831.1 He married, secondly, Susanna Henrietta Bermingham Sewell, daughter of Thomas Bermingham Daly Henry Sewell and Hon. Harriet Beresford, in 1847.2 He died on 28 February 1902 at age 94.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in 1826 in the 93rd Highlanders.1 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount of Melfort [S., 1685] on 9 April 1840.1 He succeeded as the 6th Lord Drummond of Gillestoun [S., 1685] on 9 April 1840.1 He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Melfort [S., 1686] on 9 April 1840.1 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount of Forth [S., 1686] on 9 April 1840.1 He succeeded as the 6th Lord Drummond of Riccartoun, Castlemains and Gilstoun [S., 1686] on 9 April 1840.1 He succeeded as the Duke of Melfort [Jacobite, 1692] in 1841, following a judgement by the Conseil d'Etat and Tribunal, although this was contested in the House of Lords by Lady Willoughby de Eresby claiming the Drummond estates.1 He gained the rank of Major between 1853 and 1859 in the Victoria Rifles.1 He succeeded as the 14th Earl of Perth [S., 1605] on 28 June 1853.1 He succeeded as the 18th Lord Drummond [S., 1488] on 28 June 1853.1 On his death, his titles of 1685 and 1686 became extinct or dormant.1

     Dorothy Rosalind Frances Black was the daughter of Sir Robert James Black, 1st Bt. and Ellen Cecilia La Touche.1 She married Captain James Archibald Lochnell Campbell of Jura on 23 April 1914.1 She died on 21 July 1973, leaving issue.1
     From 23 April 1914, her married name became Campbell.1

     Charlotte Mary Yea was the daughter of Sir William Walter Yea, 2nd Bt.1 She married Cholmeley Charles William Dering, son of Sir Edward Dering, 7th Bt. and Anne Hale, on 30 July 1846.2 She died on 5 April 1882.1
     Her married name became Dering.
