     Thomas Stopford was baptised on 12 June 1704.1 He was the son of James Stopford and Frances Jones.1 He died on 15 March 1771 at age 66.1
     He was a Master in Chancery.1

     Captain Joseph Stopford is the son of James Stopford and Frances Jones.1 He married Anne Chetwode, daughter of Knightley Chetwode and Esther Brooking, in July 1743.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Regiment of Horse.1

     Anne Chetwode is the daughter of Knightley Chetwode and Esther Brooking.1,2 She married Captain Joseph Stopford, son of James Stopford and Frances Jones, in July 1743.1
     From July 1743, her married name became Stopford.1

     Knightley Chetwode was baptised on 6 April 1679.2 He was the son of Reverend John Chetwode and Eunice Freake.2 He and Esther Brooking obtained a marriage license on 29 August 1700.2 He died in 1752.2
     He lived at Woodbrook, Portarlington, County Laois, IrelandG.2

     Colonel William Henry Stopford-Blair was born on 13 January 1788.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Hon. Edward Stopford and Letitia Blacker.1 He married Mira Sophia Bull, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Bull, on 3 March 1825.1 He died on 20 September 1868 at age 80.1
     He was given the name of William Henry Stopford at birth.1 On 6 May 1842 his name was legally changed to William Henry Stopford-Blair by Royal Licence.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1 He lived at Penninghame House, Wigtownshire, ScotlandG.1

     Mira Sophia Bull was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Bull.1 She married Colonel William Henry Stopford-Blair, son of Lt.-Gen. Hon. Edward Stopford and Letitia Blacker, on 3 March 1825.1 She died on 9 July 1830.1
     From 3 March 1825, her married name became Stopford.1
